Sun & Sound Detroit is a music label founded in the Spring of 2024 by the dynamic father-daughter duo Todd Johnson and Carmen Johnson, also known as the music artist sillygirlcarmen.
Embracing Detroit's illustrious electronic music heritage, Sun & Sound Detroit aims to illuminate the music scene with fresh releases from a vibrant umbrella of artists from around the world, promising a mix of fun, soulful and electrifying tunes. This label also establishes the home for many upcoming sillygirlcarmen releases, as she continues to craft her artistry and sound.
The label kicked off with a loud bang in May of 2024, releasing a three-song EP project entitled PLAY by the acclaimed talent Delano Smith and sillygirlcarmen. This was followed by the PLAY remix EP with fan favorites, DJ Minx, Soulclap, and Coflo.
